Work Conference 2013 of CRSRI Held in Wuhan

The 2013 Work Conference of the Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute (CRSRI) was held on 30th Jan. The main task of the conference was to study the spirits of the Eighteenth National Congress, review the work in 2012, and arrange the work of 2013.

Mr. Yang Chun, vice chairman of the Changjiang Water Resources Commission, presented and addressed the conference by acknowledging the achievements of CRSRI in 2012 from the following three aspects: CRSRI has made achievements in its transformation, has enhanced its sci-tech supports, and has promoted the working and living standards for its staffs.

Mr. Guo Xi-ling, president and secretary of the party committee of CRSRI, gave a work report themed as ¡°To provide sci-tech support for river regulation by unique feature and solid work¡±. In retrospect, he said that CRSRI has displayed blooming vitality with abundant strategies, prominent talents, improved research environments, active communication, and orderly management. Year 2013 is critical for CRSRI¡¯s steady development. Facing with the new requirements and tasks posed by the new circumstance, CRSRI should seize the opportunity, stick to its mission, focus on water conserving and ecological construction for people¡¯s livelihood, forge ahead in consolidation and innovation, remarked by Guo Xi-ling.

Mr. Wang Zai-qin, vice president of CRSRI, required that each department should implement strictly the conference spirits to materialize the yearly objectives.

Other leaders of CRSRI inclusive of Chen Jin, Lin Shao-zhong, Lu Jin-you, and Wang Gang presented at the conference. Vice chief engineers, middle-level staffs of each department, Party branch secretaries, professor senior engineers, doctors, former leaders and representatives from other departments altogether over 250 attended the conference.
